Inspired by a double-faced Japanese sashiko fabric 3sixteen introduced in 2016, the brand pursued a softer, better-draping iteration suited for base layers. Collaborating with an Indian mill, they reimagined the fabric with a looser weave and increased loft. The sashiko pattern within mimics the robust threads seen in intricate repairs on old Japanese workwear. The black overdyed version promises lasting depth, occasionally revealing hints of grayish-blue as the indigo layer below surfaces through wear.
